A note details advancement badges awarded by the Gamboy Valley Lions Club in support of the Canterfwid Boy Scout Troop Mi ce Nervumber 08. Royal West lock chaired the Boy and Girls Committee and supervised the event meant to foster community care and Scout welfare.

A fourth grade class visited a beaver farm on November 1. They observed beavers building nests, felling wood, and gnawing teeth to stay sharp. Mr Olson explained mating, parenting, and beaver territory while noting the farm aims to expand to about 300 animals with future demonstrations.

Funeral services were held Saturday at the Warren A. Jensen Funeral Home for Balle Arthur Johnana 20 who died November 2 in San Francisco California from a heart ailment. Bishop Hoger Andoreen led the service with remarks by Calvary and others. Survivors include his widow Bail Francileco his mother Mrs Kate Harty Salt Lake City two sisters and a brother. The service closed with burial in the Gunassos City Cemetery.
Hans C. Bogh marks his 85th birthday with a home gathering in Mayfield. Born November 15, 1903 in Pt Green the son of Niele Here and Gundels Jac obese Bagh, he served as Mayfield mayor, high priest, and teacher, later retiring to enjoy time with family and hobbies. He married Nellie May Lyman in 1901 and they had one child.
A garbled OCR notice lists December driver license exam dates and locations. It mentions Mt. Plenment and Yulin with times 9 am to 12 noon including December 1 8 15 and 22. Also cites Mantl Court Huge 1K to 4 pm December 1 1 1 22 and Bb. Desember 9 24 20 and Chip Hall 2 pm to pm with dates November 9 10 17.
Senior girls at Goemtaen Valley High will take a homemaking test titled Duties and Rewards of Homemaking in Today’s Society. The program, part of the home economics curriculum, is scheduled for December 7. Continued on Page 4.
Dee. 30 marks the retirement of Gunnison postmaster Fred Jones after three decades of federal service. Jones held roles at multiple Gunnison offices, aided local banks and businesses, and engaged in civic and sports organizations. He was born in 1904, married Glade Bown, and has three children.
Snow College expands its permanent Art Collection with three acquisitions. The works include Hunting With Dad by Everett Thorpe, A Pearl by LaCante Stewart, and To Vir Hortsaus by Vance Allred, all added to the college gallery display. Professor Jinos Aston, art department chair, notes the pieces belong among prominent Utah collections.
Arlen D. Bek, preside of the Utah Jaycren, will visit Gunnison on Thursday night December 0. He heads the Utah Jayoonn at the ages of 21 in 95 with a goal to expand Jaycee youth programs and recruit members in Utah and nearby counties.
Santa Claus will visit Gunnison in December as part of a Lions Club coordinated event at the Camcooe Valley Theatre. The trusted character will be joined by a talking tree puppet show titled Tummy Tell We Tree starring Dee and Teeny. The event aims to raise awareness for education and community outreach with a December 11 date planned at the Gatnism Ward recreation hall for child registration and requests.
Rep Burton, Republican Laurence J Barton, schedules Dec 7 tour of Sanpete and Sevier counties. Allen J Frandenn of Centerfield arranged events including a county Republican gathering and meetings with local GOP chairs and residents. The circuit area includes Sandpete County meetings at Manit High and other listings in Sevier and Sanpete regions.
Gunnison banker Overiell is named to a major ABA post. He has served as president and chairman of a bank board since 1950 and held leadership roles in Utah and national banking groups. His wide advisory and charitable roles reflect a long career in finance and civic service.
Fifty kindergartners from De Gonzales Valley Elementary, guided by teachers Mire, Frank Gratley, and Mrs. Bon Denne, toured a turkey farm near Conturfield. Principal Garl Ostorn organized the visit to teach children about turkey production and industry terms.
