Casino Opens to Public With New Additions and Displays
The Casino theater in Gunnison formally opened last Tuesday with the L. J. Foote Stock company presenting Her Man of the NC-4. Manager Duggins expanded the building at a cost near 12000 including a basement five dressing rooms two showers and two lavatories and heating plant. The stage measures 30 by 60 feet and features about twenty painted scenes including street forest kitchen parlor and mountain views. The asbestos curtain is a rarity south of Salt Lake City as the interior was redecorated and the front remodeled with new lights. No date was set for road shows yet but plans for high class performances with picture shows are to follow.
