Funeral services for Fontella Hansen were held at the Centerfield meeting house with Bishop Newman Beck leading. Speakers included Bishop Fieldstedt C P Larson and A E Park as the Centerfield choir performed and Bishop BE L Swalberg sang. Survived by parents C O Hansen and several siblings, the Centerfield community mourns a devoted L D S church member.

Burglars Rifled Mayfield Store In Night Burglary

Levon Lilley Bardsley once of Centerfield Utah has qualified as a sharpshooter on the U S S California. He will be awarded a sharpshooter medal and a pay increase. Bardsley, son of Mr and Mrs Joseph Bardsley, joined the Marine Corps in San Francisco a year ago and has served aboard the California, flagship of the Pacific Fleet, performing guard duties and operating guns as the ship cruises the West Coast. The California has recently been seen at Bremerton and at San Francisco or San Pedro Harbor in Los Angeles.

Kelley seeks $1100 for car damages and personal injuries to Judge Marineaux who rode with him. Telluride Man Stricken With Appendicitis at Work
Hugh Kearns of the Telluride Power Company suffered acute appendicitis Tuesday morning and was rushed to Salina hospital. Doctors Merrill and Merrill of the hospital and Dr Hagan of this city operated Wednesday morning, finding adhesions and inflammation advanced. He withstood the ordeal and is making progress reporting from his bedside.

Fry Planting Expands Twelve Mile Canyon Fisheries
About 20 000 native fry from Springville hatchery were planted in Twelve Mile canyon last Thursday by the Gunni son Valley Fish & Game Protective association under County Game Warden Poulson. Fish released in Clear Greek Beaver and main creek forks with plans for fall plantings and hopes the canyon becomes a fishermen’s mecca within a year.
