Willardsons Celebrate 50th Wedding Anniversary
Mr and Mrs Joseph Willardson longtime Sanpete residents now in Gunnison marked their 50th anniversary with a Salt Lake City dinner at Hotel Utah and a dance at the Old Mill club. They may visit Los Angeles to see sons Ergin and Eldon. married fifty years ago with nine children and thirty grandchildren.

Udell Jensen Named County Attorney in Sanpete
Udell Jensen of Ephraim was appointed Sanpete County attorney to fill the vacancy caused by the sudden death of Clinton M. Edwards. The appointment was made by the county commissioners after a special session in Manti, with eight of fifteen Republican precinct chairs endorsing Jensen. Jensen, a 1960 University of Utah law graduate, has been practicing with his father and has already assumed duties amid active county matters.

Scottsbluff tests show tops plus grain and alfalfa yield 34.8 pounds gain versus 30.2 elsewhere. An acre’s tops may replace a ton of alfalfa hay and 491 pounds of grain, with a feed value of about $13.02.

Gunnison Doctor Honored With Army Promotion
Dr. B H 5 McQuarrie of Gunnison has been promoted to captain in the Medical Reserve Corps United States Army. The announcement from the ninth corps area Presidio of San Francisco notes his prior service at Letterman General Hospital in 1927 1928. He resigned from active duty and now qualifies for reenlistment in the Medical Reserve Corps.
