The Hurcative School PTA held its first meeting to launch an absenteeism study for the year. Leadership including Mrs Anthony Willants ton, Vance Peterson, Peyton Alexander, and Ed Mra Gilbert Pield- Wed discussed plans noting four meetings addressing different absenteeism aspects. The theme for the year Absenteeism was chosen with September 24 set for the kickoff topic The Best Vacation As A Contributing Factor To Teen Absences In Our Area.

Christensen Directs Utah Theatre Run at Kingsbury Hall

J M Knighton longtime Gunnison civic and business promoter died aged 66 after an illness. A native of Gunnison he led city growth as mayor from 1908 to 1918 and oversaw the water system, chaired several water and utility bodies, and managed local enterprises. He was involved in church and community endeavors, survived by his widow and four stepsons, with a funeral service held in Gunnison and interment in the Gunnison cemetery.
