Joseph Hermannen, 4, brother of NL thermansen of Gunn ton, died after a long illness. Born August 2 12 in Le, son of Marcus and Marie Christianas Mumberg Mer minnen. He attended a school in Ephraim and married Florence deanen. She died in 1946, he later married Opel Seaville Sh 100. He moved to Mt Pleasant, owner of the mill there. Survived by wife, five sons and one daughter, four Hep-children, four brothers and two sisters. Funeral services held Wednesday in Mt Pleasant with burial in Ephraim cemetery.
Mrs Owen Gregerson Miro figron Finot Mra Anthony Willerdeen and Mrv Lette Stapies named judges at the Piute County Fair held Friday in Juelaine The tora residents judged the talent find. Dairy Quen and firm Piute County and Howerahiw honored Mr and Mrs W A Tanner of Farmington Son Mexico for their home in Farmington after a two week visit with Mr and Mrs Frank Roeven in Gunnison. While here Mr Tanner a building contractor underwent surgery at Gunnison Walley Hospital.
Ganalian City Fire Department responded to a 3 30 pm call Saturday at the Dick Anderson property on First March and East Streets. The weed fire spread to a shed in the rear, with little damage reported and the blaze brought under control within minutes.

They seek diaries, letters, genealogies, and manuscripts about 19th century Utah pioneers, the Utah War, pioneer journals, migrations to Utah from abroad, Brigham Young era details, and related reminiscences. Mr and Mrs Peter Dyers and four children from Brighton England arrived August 1 and settled in Centerfield Salt Lake Valley. Sponsored by Mr and Mrs DD Beck they began life in America after a briefing with missionary friends. Mr Dyers, a former furniture store manager, served in the English army and was a prisoner of war in Germany for five years during WWI. The family adapts to American customs and wages as they begin homesteading here.
Saturday services honored Mary Elizabeth Hansen Roberts 63 who died August 4 at her Gumandegn home. Born May 4 104 in Central she moved to Gunnison, married Erwin Roberts in Manti and was active in the Melia Society. Survivors include husband two daughters two sons and eight grandchildren with siblings and a brother in Central. The Gunnison Chapel service was conducted by Bishop Paul Dyreng with organ music and prayers. burial in Gunnison City Cemetery.
Mr and Mrs Richard L Hare and family plan to move to Hawaii after visiting Bias ima Gunnison and Mant. Mr Hieron has been assigned as president of phytos at the Church College in Hawaii. They will sail from San Francisco on August 24. Previously Mr Hermig was superintendent of pestcake in Lincoln County Nevada.
Mr. Beryl Christemern of Richfield, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bar Pickett of Gunnison, earned a Bachelor of Science from Brigham Young University in a ceremony at Wright Field Mire on August 16. She plans to teach in public schools in Hon fala.

Brent Barlow, 16, son of Mr and Mrs Alvin Barlow of Centerfield, narrowly escaped serious injury in a garage incident. While changing a truck tire, a inflated wheel tire exploded from the rim, striking him in the knees and forearms. He suffered a cut requiring five stitches and avoided fractures. He returned to work after treatment.
Graveside funeral held Saturday in Galite Rastelle Cemetery for infant Latte Tira Anderson, daughter of McKay and Karen Morley Anderson. Born August 13, died the next day of prematurity at Salt Lake City hospital. Funeral program included prayers, a tribute titled Lullaby, and remarks by Bishop Farrel Punk. Family attendance numbered five.
Ver Eebulle of the U S Department of Agriculture attended the conference and gave instructions relative to operation of the Ellie Hoy a program in Mississippi.
