Gunnison City Lifts Watering Hour Ban

Gunnison Mayor Leon Embley announced that regulated hours for culinary water were lifted due to dwindling supply. Residents may water anytime, with the 50,000 gallon per month limit still in force, and officials credited storms for increasing supply while thanking residents for cooperation. Winners Listed In Annual Sanpete County Fair Contests

Christensen Narrates Drama at Montane Siste College

The dance drama The Yellow Hijab presented at Montane Siste College in Inge on August 5 or 6 featured back Christensen narrating. The outdoor- stage project, part of Ws production, followed by a three week run before Christensen G toured with Mrs tile August 24. The piece will be staged at Playbox Theatre with the Annual Theatre Conference and then tour as the University Children’s Theatre’s first program.

Lunches For Conference Goers

The Canterfield Camp Dywy ghters of Utah Pioneers will provide lunches for attendees entering Sunday sessions of Gunnison Duke. Mrs. Lawrence Jensen, captain, says lunches will be served between the morning and afternoon sessions.

Deadline Set For August 19 On Wool Ballots

Wool growers in Sanpete County are urged to vote on a marketing agreement. If approved by two thirds of those voting, a deduction of up to six cents per hundredweight would fund benefits from wool and mohair payments for 1934 1937 and 1938 crops. Referendum conducted by County Agriculture Office with ballots mailed to growers, return by August 19. The measure aligns with the National Wool Act to boost returns per pound for growers.

Native Dies in Dividend Mine Near Gunniam

Nephi Weasley Curivtensem, 48, a native of Gunninam, died in the Salt Lake hospital after injuries from a mining incident at the Dividend Mine of The Sioderd Mining Company. Born May 1, 1907, he was the son of Arthur and Billie Gindall Christensen and married Leola Burreston in September. He served as exalted ruler of Tim e Lodge 711 and held several lodge leadership roles. Funeral services were held Saturday.
