A Gunnison fly spraying drive organized by the Junior Chamber of Commerce is underway. Volunteers will apply spray to curb fly and germ carriers, charging residents a nominal fee while the civic group covers original costs. Jaycees supply spray, equipment, and labor, with each member assigned to duties.
A course sponsored by the Farm Bureau begins at the University with a Utah group participating. The program runs for one week focusing on bureau purchases and related farming topics.
Alvin Brownstels, a Clarkon native, returned to Gunnison with his father Joseph Brownustels for a brief reconnection in the Valley. He left in 1910 for Philadelphia where he now resides, visiting on business during a World War veteran’s trip.
