Funeral services were held at Gunnison Valley High School for Niels C. Christensen a longtime Gunnison resident who died after a kidney illness. Born in Denmark October 16 1857 he came to America in 1892 with his wife Ida Londen a. He leaves three daughters Mrs I C Williams Mrs William Welsh and Mrs Chas L Wilson and three sons John Martin and Otto Christensen along with four brothers and fifteen grandchildren. Interment followed at Gunnison Cemetery.
