Mayfield Pioneer Chris Panberg Dies After Long Illness
Chris Panberg longtime Mayfield resident died at the home of Joseph Willardson after three years of stomach cancer. He was a native of Denmark who arrived in America at age eleven, managed the Mayfield mill for over a decade, then farmed until illness. Funeral services were held in Mayfield with Bishop Clyde Whitlock presiding, eulogies by Hyrum Olsen and others, and burial at Mayfield cemetery.

Scandinavian conference to draw thousands to Provo weekend
