Navy Veteran Killed In Richfield Car Hijacking
A hitchhiking Navy veteran, Lindquist, was shot dead by two suspects after being forced from a car by brothers Alien Woods Jr. and Bill Woon. A large manhunt ended with the pair captured in a canal southwest of Richfield. Officials say the 32 caliber pistol fired during the struggle killed Lindquist instantly. He was born March 25, 1827 in Koosharem and served in the US Navy. Surviving relatives include his parents and five brothers and three sisters. Funeral services were held in Koosharem.
