Delayed completion for Greenwich Byram housing project
Greenwich Housing Authority chairman Peter Flier reports the Byram housing development for moderate income families and elderly and handicapped tenants will be completed no earlier than January 14, two months later than the original November 15 target. Delays stem from renovations in old buildings, coordination with gas, water and electric services, and uncovering unexpected issues. The project includes 51 elderly and handicapped apartments in the old school building and three new seven-family buildings, preserving historic features while updating interiors for modern use.
