Greenwich May Decline Water Alert For First Stage Since 1983

At 50.6 percent capacity, the system holds about 3.5 billion gallons. The alert urges voluntary conservation, including lawn watering limits, shorter showers, and full dishwashers. The town previously faced reduced supply since rainfall has been scant, though officials caution this is not a declared drought.
