State police ran a 20 day January trial weighing trucks at Greenwich scale catching 654 violations with $240000 in potential fines. More than 15000 commercial vehicles weighed, with overweight trucks blamed for road damage and safety risks.
Greenwich officials weigh establishing a town shelter as single adult homelessness rises.
