Greenwich Hospital to appeal denial of X ray program
Greenwich Hospital will appeal a state commission denial of reinstating its coronary angiography program. Administrators say time was insufficient for review of data on patients needing the X ray imaging service. Data indicated about 290 to 300 patients yearly would use the program, near the 300 threshold.

Fire marshal seeks town liability opinion on inspector shortfall
Fire Marshal Joseph Benoit said he remains without a town attorney opinion on whether the town is unduly at risk for not meeting state requirements for annual inspections. He asked the finance board budget committee for funds to hire another inspector to cover inspections of nearly all commercial and multi family buildings, warning liability could follow a failure to comply. The attorney has not yet responded, leaving Benoit awaiting guidance before further action.
