Removal of span begins next week at Mianus Bridge
Rebuilding advances on the Mianus River Bridge with reinforced joints and a steel plate under the temporary span. Eastbound traffic rerouted to the westbound half starting Jan 4 at one minute after midnight. The crane will remove the temporary span and approaches, a five day operation weather permitting, with six bridge lanes to reopen for the first time since the June collapse.
