Children of War Tour Spurs Greenwich Youth Involvement
Six visiting children from conflict zones inspired Greenwich students to engage in peace and community actions. Organizers call the program a catalyst for youth empowerment as about 50 attendees, mostly students, held a Youth Empowerment Conference at Round Hill Community Center on November 30 and a Youth Speak Out sharing war and violence impressions. A second meeting is set for December 15 at Christ Church Parish House to discuss ongoing actions.
