Eightieth Anniversary Celebration Planned for Local Church
The Christian church will mark its eightieth year with a week of events ending Sunday October sixth. An anniversary sermon opens the week, with social, youth, women s, Bible school, and men s nights led by speakers from Indiana Ohio and Kansas City. Lexington Ky president R H Cecessfield speaks at 11am and 7 30pm, A C Brewer preaches at 2 30, and a county history souvenir will be issued.

Auto wreck near Hartsville injures banker and dealer
G B Russell cashier of a Hartsville bank and hardware dealer A J Cottle teamed up to tow Russell’s auto after a breakdown. Their cars lost control on the Hartsville Greensburg pike, plunged down an embankment, damaging both vehicles and injuring Russell slightly while Cottle escaped with minor injuries.

Donnell Reports Handling of State Printing Funds
Ed D Donnell, clerk of the board, presented a statement on his management of the state printing and binding office. He noted an appropriation of about 15000 for the year and that 30663 23 was returned to the general fund, with about 16000 in unfinished reports and printing. On October 1 1911 the bureau began under a new 70000 appropriation, 5000 less than prior years.

Henry W. Pierson a longtime St. Paul resident died Sunday after a stroke at age 97 Born in Cape May New Jersey October 26 1826 he moved to Greensburg in 1850 and later to St. Paul He served in Co A 123rd Regiment during the Civil War He is survived by a widow and four daughters Maud Bailey Adam Feaster Stine Sefton and Inez Templeton Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1 30 p.m. Rev C S Whitted officiating and interment followed at South Park.

High School Building Begun Aids City Project
Work on the new high school proceeds with the old Orphans' Home demolished. A 46 foot frontage strip was bought from Susana Thomas for 1750, frontage 329 feet. A power house site 36 by 56 feet was purchased from BH N Gaunt and J E Mendenhall for 675, with 475 to Gaunt and 200 to Mendenhall.

Stevens Nominated for Prosecutor by Republican Convention
Albert Stevens of Rushville was nominated for prosecutor in the sixteenth judicial district by the Republican convention. The district covers Rush and Shelby counties, with no opposing candidate. Three conventions met in Shelbyville, including the judicial and county groups, plus a joint senatorial session for Johnson and Shelby counties. Louis Lott, a known timber dealer born October 15 1862 in Franklin County, died Sunday night at 7 after a brief illness contracted during a timber land inspection trip to Tennessee. Death of Mrs. Jesse Linville at Clarksburg
Mrs. Sarah Bohanan Linville died at her Clarksburg home Sunday at two a.m. after a long TB illness. She was 78 and longtime resident. She married Jesse Linville May 22, 1860. he died twenty years ago. Survived by five sons and three daughters. Funeral by Rev. W. E. Hogg at the Presbyterian church at two p.m. Monday, burial in Clarksburg cemetery.

A religious census was conducted in Greensburg yesterday from 9 to 11 am with one hundred canvassers. The city is split into five districts, each led by a captain. A mass meeting at the Presbyterian church set plans in motion, with Rev. W. H. Reynolds as general superintendent and Dr. D. W. Weaver assisting.
