Farmers Return From Motor Trip
O. M. Martin of near Adams and W. E. Tetrick of near Kingston completed a 2400 mile Ford Sedan journey to Minot North Dakota. They were away two weeks with only three days and a half in the machine and found corn in Illinois Minnesota and Iowa in splendid shape. At Red Wood Falls Minnesota corn yields 70 bushels per acre while in Carington North Carolina yields reach 50 bushels. Small grain yields 22 bushels per acre in that region due to hot weather. No 1 wheat priced at 1.31 a bushel at a North Dakota elevator and corn at 37 cents per bushel. They met Mr Kassens formerly of this city while in Minot.
