Bryan to Follow Roosevelt Trail from Denver to Lincoln
Colonel William Jennings Bryan will begin a West and Northwest speaking tour from Denver next Saturday tracing Theodore Roosevelt's path. He will speak where Roosevelt has spoken, returning to Lincoln on October 2 for two days rest before rejoining the Roosevelt trail until the election. He will cover all expenses himself and arrange his own itinerary until October 2, then be guided by the speakers bureau.

Stock Hogs In United States Fall In September Reports
Washington September 11 The department of agriculture announces stock hog numbers on September 1 were 92 percent below the same date last year. Health condition stood at 91.9 percent versus 95.7 percent a year ago and 95.2 percent the ten year average. Producer prices for hogs per hundred pounds on August 15 averaged 7.11 dollars, down from 6.54 the prior year.

Fireworks Disaster at Courthouse Display Wounds Dozens
A Thursday night fireworks mishap near the courthouse injured about thirty people when a pin wheel struck live rockets. Lights and crowds caused a rush as several spectators, including Mrs. James B. Pyle and ten year old Herbert Boling, suffered burns and fractures.
