Robert Kemp, a colored inmate of the county jail for one week, was pronounced demented by county physician Jr. H. S. McKee. Two additional physicians must examine him before possible transfer to Madison in coming days. The sheriff informed Kemp's mother, who said the family cannot help. Since this is the county home, local officials will handle the case. Kemp was brought in on suspicion of actions north of town.

She was a Christian church member and interment was in Arlington cemetery.
