Robert B Ford died Saturday at 2 00 p m at his home on North Carver street aged 62 a car penter by trade and a life long resident He fell from a scaffold twenty years ago leaving him crippled He was married November 13 1875 to Druzilla Barrow and leaves a son Harold and a daughter India He also leaves three brothers and two sisters Funeral services were held at the home at 2 pm Tuesday conducted by Rev J W Fradenburge and burial was under the auspices of the I O F at South Park

Mrs Frances E Howard died at her St Paul home Thursday at 16 10 am aged 66. She was born in St Paul and married Dr Francis M Howard on March 8 1864. Surviving children are May Alley of Shelbyville and Josephine Pleak near St Paul. son Orla and Charles are dead. She was a prominent M E church member and active in social betterment.

Chicago visitor among 600 at Indiana homecoming
David McConnell Hillis of Chicago arrived Sunday to visit relatives and friends during a homecoming for 600 ex Hoosiers in Indianapolis. He was met at the depot by 30 prominent citizens disguised as policemen and the party rode past a display of 200 autos for the viewing. Hillis is a son of pioneer David Hillis who settled near the county seat in 1830 and later became a Chicago lawyer and real estate man.

An elderly Martinsville born man James M. Jameson stays at Hotel Jefferson. Born April 23, 1826 near Liberty church on Michigan road, brother of the late Elder Love H. Jameson, he helped cut timber for the Liberty church and aims to place a grave marker on his first wife’s Smart place in Monroe township. He is the last surviving of ninety-one grandchildren and claims to be Indiana’s oldest saddler. He served with the Twenty-seventh Indiana in the Civil War and recalls many Jefferson county families with lively reminiscences, described as a cheerful, old-time gentleman.
