A New Salem pike collision north of Clarksburg killed two year old Mary Eton Swinser when a Buick roadster struck the bogey carrying Mr and Mrs Carl Swinser and their child. Driver Carl Vandiger and passengers Hernan Hinchman Mary Laughlin and Lona Chaney were unharmed. Funeral for the child set for Wednesday at Hopewell church.

Five Passenger Car Flips on Embankment Injuries Mild
A five passenger Continental touring car from Osgood overturned three times down a fifteen foot embankment near Clemons school house around 1 pm yesterday afternoon. Nine aboard escaped serious harm with only minor bruises while the machine was demolished. John Shorter and wife and Will Rutledge and family were en route to Greensburg to visit David Lyons and family when the eighteen year old driver lost control after the hill caused the car to jump a barbed wire fence. A four weeks old baby held by its mother escaped unharmed. Witnesses say the car was traveling at a moderate rate and the incline contributed to the loss of control. The occupants were cared for at Henry Weinning’s home and Dr Bentle attended the injured.
