Prisoner Pleads Guilty in Shelbyville Still Case
William Stevens, 2 a street, pled guilty to illegal whisky manufacture and sale after a raid at his home found a fully equipped still and large quantities of evidence. He was sentenced to 60 days in state farm and fined $190 plus costs. Officers Chief George Hae Assistant Chief John Thompson and Sheriff Ray Sexton conducted the raid. The operation produced about four gallons every 24 hours from a sour mash boiler.

Ernest Thornburg of Hamilton Farms shipped 62 hogs to the Indiana polis market. Nine months old and averaging 365 pounds, the hogs had three mothers and Pecland sires. They were fattened on corn, soybeans, slop, and clover pasture with a fall finish of corn and few soybeans.
