They also seek contract bids for supplies, duplicate annual reports to state and county auditors, and borrowing powers under county approval. A revival campaign is planned with a five-week series of meetings led by various pastors to regenerate the city.

Union Meetings Planned Amid Week of Prayer Culmination
A Sunday night service at First M. E. church drew a vast audience for the Union Week of Prayer ending with a strong plea for unity. Pastor M B Hyde aided the meeting while Rev J W Fradenburg delivered an able sermon urging the righteous to join forces. Other pastors followed, sharing in the fervent atmosphere.

Death of Eooch G Stevenson in Greensburg
Eooch G Stevenson died suddenly of heart failure at his East Washington home on Thursday at 4 20 PM after being stricken about 1 PM. Born in 1849 in Borden town New Jersey, he moved to Greensburg in 1870 and married Mollie Mewhinney in 1871. He leaves a daughter Mrs Orville Skeen of Detroit, Michigan, a sister and four brothers. Funeral at Centenary M E church with Odd Fellows and Masons rites. service led by Rev H G Sheldon. He was a longtime stone mason and plasterer active in the city’s buildings and a respected citizen.

Old Resident Rosina Thomson Dies in Madison
Miss Rosina Thomson died Friday night at 10 30 in Madison. The remains were laid to rest Sunday morning at South Park cemetery with burial private and Rev. W H Reynolds officiating. Born December 12 1833 on East Main street she became a teacher until spinal trouble left her an invalid. She leaves one sister Mrs Camilla Donnell of The Dalles Or and a half brother Jesse M Thomson of Cincinnati Oh. The Thomson family of John and Spicy Hamilton Thomson were married in Nicholas county Ky November 22 1821 and moved to the county in 1823.

The county consolidates telephone interests with Independent Company taking charge after April 1. About 2,000 boxes will cover the county and long distance service will pay tolls to Bell lines. Harry Hamilton residence near the square becomes the home of the consolidated interests under a ten year lease. An auto manuel system costing about 16,000 will be installed, greatly boosting local and county telecom facilities.

Noble to be tried in Rushville for Sprague murder
Albert Sprague was killed near Turner's Corner last July. Ben Noble, held at Marion county jail, was brought to court with Sheriff S. N. Patterson. An Indiana attorney sought a venue change. Rushville was affirmed as proper trial site. Sheriff Bebout then removed Noble to Indianapolis. Court convenes next month.

Mrs. Sarah A. Kirby died at her son William Kirby's home in Shelbyville Friday night aged eighty. She and family had lived in Greensburg before moving to Shelbyville three years ago where Mr. Kirby works as a stone mason. Funeral held at two p.m. Sunday by Rev. C A Cook at the Baptist church cemetery. She married James Kirby on October 19 1849, maiden name Sarah Vanhise.
