Announcement warns candidates that notices in advance cost two dollars and states Harvey Alyea is authorized to run for City Marshal subject to the Republican nominating convention.
Dr Iby B Hettinger physician surgeon and specialist will visit Sunday Monday and Tuesday March 8 9 and 10 and every three weeks thereafter. He can be seen at Hotel DeArmond parlor second floor front on those dates or at No 50 South Illinois Street corner of Illinois and Maryland Streets Indianapolis in the meantime. Consultation free treatment no cure no pay.
W. T. Livtrey announces he has bought the interest of his partner in the firm and that all accounts are payable to him. Debtors are urged to call and settle promptly at Burney, Indiana. Also advertised are second-hand organs for sale by Isaac Doles, offered cheaply.
A large audience attended the Grand Opera House to see the home talent comedy drama The Last Loaf. The performance netted about one hundred dollars to help clear the Baptist church debt on the new building. The cast included Ira J. Hollenslee and Mrs. Wright with a Parlor Orchestra providing music.
The Republician City Central Committee of Greensburg is called to meet in the Mayor's office at seven o'clock Saturday evening March 7 to consider the nominating convention for the upcoming election. All city office candidates are requested to attend. James Caskey chairman F Hazelrigg secretary.
In Greensburg a proposed Winchester Manufacturing Co plant may relocate here to produce handles. Owner Wm. H. Martin expects to buy land, build facilities, and start production within forty days, employing forty two workers and generating weekly payroll between 300 and 1400 dollars. Local merchants like 8S. H. Morris champion the move, urging liberal treatment to secure the project.
The grand fox drive is set for March 7 with boundary lines from Turner's Corner to Milford pike Maupin farm Washington school house and back. Captains oversee west north east and south lines with field marshals and a flag-bearing marshal team. Committee members Daniel Anderson James Anderson Albert Hollis.
