The Christian church hosts a Sunday anthem and a 10:45 worship with a temperance meeting at 3 p.m. next Sunday. Sunday school at 9:30. Attendance 114, collection 1.44. The Ladies Aid social and Janitor C E meeting drew 42. Sermon by Pastor Van Buskirk. six baptisms. Reception at Pastor Van Buskirk’s residence attracted nearly 200 guests including Judge Hadley.
George Hollenslee superintendent of Adams Lime Stone Co at St Paul reports a jump from no orders to twenty thousand dollars in the current period. In 1896 the firm used 30 to 35 men part time. this year 50 men full time during quarry season. Next year about 100 men expected and rock to be sold at higher prices.
A Bourbon county Kentucky deed dated December 16 1799 conveys eighty three acres to Thomas Hamilton from Samuel Hindman and wife Isabella for nine shillings. The long metes and bounds describe McBride's Creek area with Robert Burton survey origin and Creek branch references. Local notaries may use the wording as a reference for drafting sturdy deeds.
F. Fritz of 677 Sedgwick Street Chicago recounts a severe lung cough and lingering illness.
