Button hole contest highlights Mrs Morris afternoon

Mrs 8S Morris hosted an afternoon with friends on Tuesday featuring a button hole contest. The prize for best button holes went to Mrs L D Braden. J J Hazelrigg of the STANDARD and his wife left San Luis Obispo for Santa Barbara by ocean steamer last Sunday and may proceed to Los Angeles. A letter for publication was received Wednesday and will appear in the next issue.

The Last Loaf at Grand Opera House

A home talent drama titled The Last Loaf will be performed Friday night February 20 1891 at the Grand Opera House to raise funds for paying off the Baptist church debt of about 2310 dollars. The exact cast will be announced later and attendees are urged to save money for a pleasant evening and supporting the good cause.
