From Standard Files items report a soldiers aid society at Pleasant Point Schoolhouse two miles northeast of town has helped with edibles clothing and money. The editor urges such societies in every neighborhood and notes other civil and military events including a Milford Union meeting and local campaigns.
Nearly 1.5 million Red Cross Christmas seals will go on sale Friday as the statewide drive starts. Committees, solicitors, and posters are ready, with the Greensburg effort led by Miss Ethel Ewing and the Tri Kappas selling in local stores.
