They announce a deep price cut on stock this month with limited specials. Featured items include cloth capes priced at 25c each 98c for a second lot and 1.98 for a third lot, plus velvet capes at 2.75. Purchasers are urged to act as space is limited.
Silk department offers plain china silks at 18c a yard and figured china silks at 25c a yard. Also fancy taffeta and plaid silk at 29c a yard and black silk and satin bows at a special per yard rate.
The notice lists dress goods department bargains including all wool novelty goods at 88c per yard, all wool plain serges and Henriettas at 25c, fine and French organdies at 10c and 15c per yard, and 1 000 yards Trish fawne at 4c per yard.

A millinery house in distress sold to a buyer who now offers hats at big discounts. Twenty dozen hats offered at 25 cents, resold 50 to 75 cents. twenty five dozen at 39 cents, sold 75 cents to $1.00. forty dozen at 68 cents, resold $1.25 to $1.75. fifteen dozen at 85 cents, sold $1.74 to $2.25.

Altoona Pa May 28 The executive board of the National Mine Workers association has voted to call a strike of workers at thirteen lake trade coal companies over a proposed pay cut to 54 cents per ton. Patrick Dolan president of the Pittsburg district miners says the men are ready to strike and hopes small operators will aid. Orders for the strike are to be issued next Monday.
