Indiana Senator Beveridge, visiting New York, was mistaken for actor Dave Warfield by two men who asked for a theatre pass. Beveridge refused to add Warfield's name, joking he drew the line at forgery and asserting his identity.
Insurance rates for Indiana fire coverage rise after union and non union associations reach agreement. Rates increase by twenty percent for mercantile stock and church properties, thirty percent for metal works, twenty five percent for school houses, and fifty percent for paper mills. San Francisco disaster cited as cause. Also notes settlement of a George Catp claim against I C Traction for 8200 and Camp’s loss of a horse due to an open ditch.
The Indiana Bulletin notes 368 telephone companies in Indiana in 1906 as per the State Board of Tax Commissioners. Of these 360 are Independent while eight are Hell. This marks a gain of 55 Independents since 1905, with about 75 additional Independent systems not reporting to the Board, totaling 435 Independent telephone systems in the state.
