An advertisement touts Hart Schaffner Marx and $20 suits with options priced at $3.50 $6.95 $9.75 and $13.50. It promotes ready to wear clothing including wool cheviots fancy cassimieres and part wool worsteds with a vast pattern selection marked down.
The Times editorial assesses the current political outlook from a nonpartisan view, concluding New York's 49 electoral votes are practically certain for Parker and Davis. Jake Johannis and others from St. Pat visit Chris Dorman and Will'am Morris in jail after two youths accused of throwing a rock through a plate glass window at the K of P building in St. Paul on Wednesday. They will drop prosecution if the $20 glass-cost is paid. Columbus parties present at the fair may cover the amount to secure release. If not settled prosecutions proceed in the fall.

J KE McCracken of McCracken and House proprietors of the Four livery barn on South Franklin street is suffering from a painful blood poisoning attack. A small scratch from a tack caused the wound a week ago and has since swollen and inflamed. The physician calls it a serious case though McCracken still attends to business, enduring great pain.
Mrs Sarah Johnson negotiates erection of a handsome two story brick business block on the vacant lot west of Schultz's furniture on West Main Street. Construction to begin once satisfactory arrangements with contractors are made with Meek and Wae ten as the hardware dealers expected to handle the project. West Main is rapidly coming to the front as a good business street.
Attendance estimated 4000 to 8000 amid heat and dust as Decatur County fair exhibitors showed quality livestock and agriculture. Amusements drew patrons. gates stayed open at night and local racing saw strong wagering and contests despite rain and mud on Friday.
Willie Robbins and Jin O'Donnell fought on South Broadway Friday morning after heavy drinking and winnings at the fair. Robbins struck O'Donnell, who then slashed at Robbins with a knife, wounding Robbins in the left leg. Dr Ba Be Hit was summoned to dress the wounds. prognosis suggests usable in a few days.
