Miss Margaret Green daughter of J B Green of Taylorsville used a revolver to stop a reckless high speed touring car approaching her on a rural road. Her colt horse was frightened but she acted quickly to halt the vehicle and resumed driving without further incident.
After hours of debate the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Milwaukee approved replacing state deputy grand presidents with grand deputies appointed by the grand worthy president. Deputies will cover a year’s area and visit each subordinate lodge within their district. The order also switches from viva voce voting to a modified Australian ballot.
