Dealers announce a ten percent price advance on all harvesting machines next year due to higher iron and wood costs. The harvester trust controls the market with self binders costing 126 to 175 dollars, capable of cutting an eighth foot swath and requiring four horses to pull.
March to May had adverse weather with corn showing only backward development yet a possible rebound. The Shelbyville Grays narrowly lost to Moscow in a 13 inning game at Shelbyville. Halterman dominated for Moscow while Dans exited in the ninth and Geisel moved to third. About four hundred fans crowded the stands as the rivalry heated, with Moscow set to visit Shelbyville next Sunday.
About 29 000 head of stock arrived in July at the Indianapolis yards the largest monthly total in history. Railroads face over 8 million of the rise, with Posey County receiving the largest single boost and Knox Miami and Henry Counties also raised.
