Teen Dance at McRoberts building edges depot area

Emergency Loans Available For Farmers

The Secretary of Agriculture designates Bremer Black Hawk and Butler Counties for emergency loans through the Farmers Home Administration due to flood weather and hail damage. Adult Courses Open at NIACC This Fall

Greene residents may still enroll in NIACC adult education courses for the fall semester. Donald Ryerkerk, adult education director, said programs include vocational college credit adult secondary home making basic adult business and general interest courses with classes starting the week of September 22.

Floyd County Deputy reports two Sunday wrecks near here on September 14. Richard Schoenfeldt drove Merlin Whitesiide’s car on Golf Course Road when he lost control at County Line road, rolled twice, total loss but minor injuries for occupants including Stanley Pyatt Mark Dix and Jim O’Donald. Debra Frascht rolled her father’s pickup north of Golf Course Road, suffering a cut leg. Vehicle damage estimated at 1200 dollars for top windshield and front end.

Sergeant First Class Jerry B Caldwell received the Bronze Star by direction of the President for meritorious service in Vietnam from September 1968 to August 1969 while leading the administrative services branch of the 4th Transportation Command. Public rehearsals for Wartburg College's oratorio chorus begin September 23 in the Fine Arts Center choir room.
