Mrs Jerry Hartema underwent emergency surgery Saturday and is a patient at Waverly Hospital. Mr and Mrs Larry Kelle of Cedar Falls are spending the week in the Hartema home.
Mr and Mrs Dale Grapp announce the marriage of their son Mersin Grapp to Yoka Kim Usawa of Tokyo Japan. The wedding occurred February 15 1958 in Tokyo where he has been stationed for two years. His wife is a therapist in Tokyo. They plan to return to the states soon.
Stanley Wedeking four year old son of Mr and Mrs Lyle Wedeking returns home from Mason City Hospital after several weeks as a patient for a virus infection. New resident Dr and Mrs LeRoy Rasmus welcome a daughter born Friday October 17 at Charles City Hospital.
Clarksville locals Johnnie and Kathleen Weires of Allison visited grandparents Dr and Mrs P A Weires over the weekend. Attendees at Friendship Night of the Rebekah Lodge and Greene Saturday included several locals and families such as Mr and Mrs M W Brockman and Mrs Van Poisal along with others in the community. Mrs Fred Fitch and family from Myrtle, Minnesota, were noted visiting on Sunday.
Services listed include Thursday choir practice at 7:00 pm Bible Study and Westminster Fellowship at 8:00 pm Sunday schedule features Sunday School at 10:00 am Worship at 11:00 am and Church Family Night at 6:00 pm with pot luck supper and Alaskan movies led by Pastor G. F. Butler.
