Unforgivable Sins in Rocket and Missiles Program
The Administration must accept blame for five major failures in rockets and missiles. It cut back the missiles program in August 1957, increased ATLAS funding by only one third for next year, failed to appoint an overall director, has kept the Gaither report secret, and relied on a balanced budget at the expense of security. The piece warns of potential war and calls for full disclosure to empower swift action.
