Marble Rock High School alumni reunion enjoyed sunny weather after hot dry spells. Attendance reached 102 with alumni from classes 1910 to 1955, led by the 1925 class with nine representatives. Notables included Leota Thornton Moon 1910 and Laurel Ackley Ahart 1912 as oldest attendees. Orville ton and Ethel Kingery McNutt traveled from Grafton. Officeholders named Cleland Maxson president and Pearl Knoop secretary treasurer. Marble Rock open house draws attendees from Iowa and beyond
164 attended the Marble Rock Museum open house held by the Marble Rock Historical Society. Visitors from outside Iowa included Lorene Gates Levalley of Los Angeles and several men from Michigan Minnesota. Iowa towns represented included Clear Lake Mason City Waverly Greene Rudd and Des Moines among others. 1936 class reunion notes record seven attendees at Club Iown Charles City with dinner and updates on family plans and a Nicaragua church mission trip. Merland Lines led the reunion planning and J D Hobbs was slated to chair next year.
