The second Sabbath-School Convention of Jefferson township met at Union Valley Church on April 2, 1881. President Americus Jones led devotional by Rev. Miles Woods. Officers elected for Union Valley Church sabbath school: Superintendent James Harcourt, Asst Superintendent Mary Scott, Treasurer A J Hill, Secretary W H Scott, Librarians City Hill and Viola Vaughn. Next convention to be at Meridian on the third Sunday in June.
