Lengthy Putnam County probate suit verdicts suit ending in fraud
In Putnam Circuit Court a three week trial concluded with a verdict finding for the plaintiffs on their complaint seeking to set aside a family settlement and administrator reports on grounds of fraud. The jury also found for multiple cross-claims including Lucinda and John Carver and Rachael G. Durham on their cross complaints, and the panel answered a long series of interrogatories regarding the 1859 land exchange with Zedekiah Williams, boot money, and estate assets.
