Lightning strikes dairy barn near Delacca Dairy
A large dairy barn west of Brazil Brazil was struck by lightning during a storm and destroyed, valued at 15000 dollars. Three men in the barn were shocked but escaped injury. The barn housed modern dairy machinery and all cows were saved. Lawrence Delacca John Delacca and Ned Williams were in the barn and were badly shocked but not seriously hurt.

New Fire Truck Arrives From St Louis for Greencastle
Greencastle may obtain a new fire truck pending the underwriters test next week. The truck arrived about 1130 PM after being driven from St. Louis by Bert Walker and features a Studebaker motor, standard equipment, and a 600 gallon per minute pump. It sustained minor damage when two rear spotlights were torn off by wires hung for a horse show tent.

Three Die In Terre Haute Crash At Grade Crossing
In Terre Haute an inquest opened into a collision when an auto struck a C M and St P switch engine on a grade crossing. Three occupants from Terre Haute died: Mrs Jean Rebecca Kirby 28, Mrs Rose Ripple 20, and Elmer Lynch 40 who died of injuries. Henry Hastings ? suffered a fractured skull and was hospitalized in serious condition.

Registrar reports about 400 freshmen completed registration at the University yesterday. Many still queued this morning. upperclassmen who missed yesterday will finish registration Saturday morning.

Farm inmate dies at Pen al Farm
Edmond Smith an inmate at the Pen al Farm died Thursday from brain concussion. The body went to Rector Funeral Home and was prepared for burial. Relatives brought the body from Greencastle to Frankfort for burial. Smith, 62, was formerly a prominent citizen of Frankfort.

Train Hits Reelsville Woman At Water Works Crossing
Mrs Otto Barnett of Reelsville was badly cut and bruised when a westbound C F E freight train struck the Ford coupe driven by her husband at the water works crossing on west National avenue during a heavy rain. The driver did not see the approaching train. the car was wrecked while Barnett sustained serious injuries and her husband escaped with minor ones.
