George Harney of the Chamber of Commerce considers an October event featuring an apple show corn show and hog show as part of a fall festival. Merchants would sponsor prizes for farm product displays in their stores with a sequence of prize contests to follow. The plan aims for an early October date.

Farmers of Greencastle Township are invited to an 8 o clock meeting at the County Agent office. Charles Jackson will present a plan to organize a coal buying pool to buy direct from the mine and secure better prices for members. The association has grown from 7 to 69 members this year.

The result sets a new high for governor race margins and also yields four GOP congressmen.
