Two Brazilians Escape Death in Ford Runabout Crash

Lemb Nichols and two Brazilians driving west of Brazil on a concrete road opened throttle. The Ford ran off the shoulder, hit a culvert, hurled four times, and tele phone pole, tearing off all wheels. Miraculously, no one was hurt. The car lay demolished beside the road near Billtown. Wrecked Ford Hauled From Road to City and Greencastle

A wrecked Ford lay two days at the Staunton and National road after an crash that endangered three loved people. A White transfer truck hauled it to the city and later to Greencastle. The car belonged to J. P. Allen Jr of Greencastle and was driven by Lem Nichols of Greencastle. John Cox of Brazil was a passenger. The woman's name was unavailable.

Tim Murphy Gets 30 Day Stay After Six Year Term

Chicago November 14. Timothy Big Tim Murphy and three co defendants after conviction for conspiracy in a 350000 Dearborn street mail theft receive a 30 day stay of execution from Federal Judge Samuel Alschuler. Murphy faces six years Leavenworth and 30000 fine with 60000 bond. Co defendants Vincenzo Cosmano Edward Guerin Paul Volanti receive shorter terms and bonds. Others await trial. Murphy shows little reaction saying the judge gave him everything in the book but he is not sore.

Big Herald campaign opens nominations with Buick prize
