Putnam county Democrats gain a broad majority in county offices on Tuesday with Fred Lanster the sole defeat. Lawrence Sears wins revit seat by 143 votes over Lanster, aided by a sympathetic World War II era record. Ott Webb leads top of ticket for two year fire measure with 455 vote plurality. Other Democratic winners include Jacob McCurry coroner 378, Fay Hamilton prosecutor 208, Willis Gill representative 238, Arthur Plummer surveyor 85, Rees Buis commissioner 152, David J. Skelton commissioner 148. Republicans lose the representative race as Timmer fails to win reelection against Willis Gill.
