Ray Barr age 30 was crushed to death Wednesday afternoon at the Rickey Saw Mill Cloverdale when a log toppled from an eight foot high pile as he worked between log piles. He recently started at the mill and leaves a widow and three children.
About twenty five members of the Keystone Bible Class met with Miss Ina Mason Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. Adams presided as president and committees for the year were appointed. Mrs. Kendall spoke on the Book of Ruth and an ensuing discussion followed. A solemn memorial service was held for Miss Ira Adams led by Miss Imma Reeves. Mrs. Mason was guest of honor and served refreshments. The meeting adjourned to meet with Mrs. Julius Bryan in June.
The stolen Sedan from George Christie’s Walnut Street residence was seen heading east toward Indianapolis after 1:30 to 2:30 PM. A farmer nearby spotted the vehicle near Tinapolis as it was pulled from mud and driven away.
