Latin Contest Here Saturday in Greencastle
The district Latin contest will be held in Greencastle Saturday with DutyY winners from Putnam Vermil ion Vigo Clay and Parke counties competing for a chance to represent the district at Bloomington for the state contest on April 11. Sponsored by Indiana University extension division, medals will be awarded to state winners. The contest has first second and third place divisions, with no county or district awards. Two Indianapolis men were injured last night when their sedan left the road east of Greencastle. W. D. Keenan and Earl W. Kiger suffered injuries from broken glass and impact while M. J. Miller and Lester C. Nagley escaped harm. Keenan was taken to Methodist hospital. Kiger returned home after treatment.

Clint Whitaker of east Walnut street mangled his left hand Wednesday near Greencastle while working at a plant north of town. The tip of his little finger was amputated after his hand was caught between a rope and a pulley on a dredging shovel. He received medical aid from W. R. Hutcheson.

Asphalt Work Planned on 13 Miles of State Road
State Highway Commission outlines immediate start on 13 miles of paving on State Road 45 from Greencastle south to Owen County line.
