The Greencastle Commercial Club met midweek to discuss the Wabash Valley Empire movement and a near term reorganization. A banquet next Monday will introduce the new plan with flexible memberships, and a countywide speaking tour is set to launch Monday morning with Prof Holden among the speakers.

Teachers from the Fifth Congressional district gather at Greencastle High School auditorium on Saturday March 18. Oscar H. Bowen 57, owner of the Commercial Hotel, died near 1 am Wednesday in his hotel apartments after weeks with diabetes. Born in New Maysville, he lived most of his life here and ran the Commercial for ten years. Survived by his widow, daughter Mrs. Donald Munson of New York, six siblings, and his bereaved friends. James G Heath age 67 died Wednesday night near 10 o'clock from Bright's disease and complications. He lived with daughter Mrs Leslie Haymaker on Hanna street and is survived by two other children Walter Heath a local contractor and Charley Heath a Washington township farmer. Born near Fincastle in Puram county he spent his life in the county as a carpenter and contractor. Funeral Friday at 2:30 pm at the Haymaker home with burial in Forest Hill cemetery.
