Verdict for Broadstreet by the Jury in Hendricks County
A jury in Hendricks county circuit court returned a verdict for James A. Broadstreet of Cloverdale in the case brought by Henry Snider of Indianapolis seeking eighty five thousand dollars damages. Snider claimed Broadstreet assaulted him at Snider's barn, causing injuries and impairment of earning capacity. The jury retired two hours to decide the case. Lawyers for Broadstreet were James & Allee and Lyon & Lyon. Otis Gulley and an Indianapolis attorney represented Snider.

Chicago dispatch reports a riot in the south side black belt after a flag burning incident. Two white men, R. L. Rose and Joseph P.
