Edith Wcormick Given Five Day Prison Sentence
Edith McCormick was sentenced to five days in the house of correction for driving her automobile through two stop lights. Police officers said she was under the influence of liquor. Judge George A Curran commented that all drunks are treated alike.

Four Bandits Rob Indianapolis Country Club Payroll
Charles H. Horne cashier at the Indianapolis Country Club was robbed of 1600 dollars yesterday morning as he entered the club grounds. Police and deputies hunted four suspects who fled by car toward Crawfordsville road, linking the crime to a larger Broadmoor Country Club robbery the prior night. Horne is a former Cloverdale man and uncle of Mrs. Roy C. Evens.

Abandoned Dam Plan At Cagle's Mill Posts High Land Costs
The W. B. Foshay Company could not secure land at reasonable values for a 150 foot dam and 23 000 acres of flowage lands in Putnam County. Land owners demanded higher prices than the $57 per acre minimum, forcing drills to stop and the Eel River Power Company offices to close. Total project cost would have reached about three million dollars with 60 percent for land and labor. It was unclear if another firm would finance or if the project is dropped.
