William Baldwin and family and Mr and Mrs Ted Baldwin were in Indianapolis Sunday for the funeral of the five year old daughter of Mr and Mrs John Talbert. Mrs William Baldwin will remain for a few days. Cecil Miller and family called on Mathew Eggers and family Sunday.
Night visits by Joe Morphew and family and Addison Huber households are recorded along with several visits to Lebanon Indianapolis Green Castle and nearby areas. Community members attended services at Clear Creek and shared weekend visits among Miller Lisby Christy and Huber families.

Harold Storm and Curtis Higgins attended their class reunion at Wal nut Garden Sunday. Miss Eva Slavens of Clinton Falls visited Oran Buis and family. William Newman spent time with Homer Slavens and family. Clarence Sutherlin and family of Fillmore visited John Wallace and family. Mr. and Mrs. John Cash and Mrs. Myrtle visited. The Newman and Buis families were called on by Mr. and Mrs. Leon ard Newman Saturday evening.
Mr and Mrs Alva Gowin spent the Fourth with relatives in Brazil. Several relatives from Indianapolis Darlington Grove Land New Winchester and Topeka Kansas visited or called on Ader Petro Gowin and Boardman family members with extended stays and weekend calls.
Four automobile races are scheduled at the fair grounds track in Crawfordsville Sunday afternoon under the direction of E. S. Bolin of Terre Haute. Entries include drivers from Illinois and Indiana such as Chuck Bane Ellsworth W H Bunker Decatur Bob Andres Casey Ralph Ketchem Chicago Bill Powell Walter Ax R R Skelton Lafayette A Gully Howard King and Jimmy Lewis Indianapolis. Three five mile races and one twenty mile event make up the program with top finishers in the five mile races qualifying for the twenty mile race.

American League Detroit New York Philadelphia Chicago Boston Cleveland Washington and more with Pittsburgh Philadelphia Chicago Boston Brooklyn Cincinnati New York St Louis all listed.
The Aliens Carnival Company of Indianapolis is erecting a canvas skating rink on the Handy lot south of the Pennsylvania railroad cemetery Road. It will be open soon for local skaters after city site attempts failed.

Roy Stover, a local grocer operating a county truck, reported Tuesday night theft of about $35 worth of merchandise from a truck stored in a barn owned by Mrs. J. C. Knox. Packages were opened and contents scattered. Sheriff Tom Rice of Crawfordsville led the inquiry with local suspects eyed.
Shelbyville Indiana July 11 Charles Lyon member of the 1928 Shelbyville high school graduating class has been selected for a Rector scholarship award at DePauw University It was learned today The young man is with his parents Mr and Mrs Charles Lyon who moved recently to Noblesville Lyon was on the high school football baseball and basketball squads.
A student who won the Kiwanis Club football medal also belonged to the National Honor Society and served as business manager of the senior class play. He led the Hi-Y Club as president and maintained honor grades throughout the course.
The oldest living college graduate in the United States is Rev. James Lathrop of Greensburg Indiana. A Methodist minister, he earned a BA from Indiana University in 1847 and received an honorary MA ten years later. President Bryan recently visited him to offer congratulations and he will celebrate his 107th birthday this fall.
